This yacht was meticulously and lovingly home built by the Wadsworth family of Amanzimtoti (Zulu for sweet Waters) in Natal over 10 years and launched in 1983. She was the first vessel to be built in a Perspex mould. She then sailed to the Caribbean and from there right through Hurricane Clause (no problem) to the Mediterranean where she was moored at the prestigious "Vila da Mora" moorings in Portugal, which are reserved only for the world's most attractive yachts. She duly returned to South Africa via Brazil where she was robbed and briefly abandoned on a sheltered beach. The vessel is so soundly built that she sustained no damage whatsoever. In South Africa she became the first Charter vessel to operate on the dangerous East Coast of Africa out of the Durban city moorings. In Mozambique she became beached on an island in the Maputo Bay and again suffered no structural damage whatsoever. At this time she became the centre point of a rather far fetched claim for salvage from a rubber duck owner, which in turn gave rise to a Commission of Inquiry into secret societies in South Africa, several historic court battles and a host of political activity.

The upshot of all that is that she has been substantially refurbished. She was taken to Johannesburg for the mechanical part of the refit. There a trailer was custom built for her. She was brought to Richards Bay in May 2005 where the rest of the refit was done totalling some R 350,000.00.  She was issued a passenger vessel safety certificate by the South African Maritime Safety Authority started charter operations in December 2005. She has already been guest to many overseas visitors prominent business persons, the National Ports Authority and even European royalty. The guest book speaks volumes about the excellent times had by all who have had the pleasure to see her and feel her sail the beautiful shores of Richards Bay..
